A CAREGIVER’S PLAYLIST
Every YouTuber knows that YouTube will create a “Mix” based on the videos, movies, or music that you watch and listen to. I believe that music does indeed soothe the soul. Therefore, I often find myself with headphones listening to music and singing at the top of my lungs. I know all the words to all the songs; although I have been told that I can’t carry a tune. Ok, so my Mother said that I don’t sing well but I just can’t take her word on that. Afterall, I know all the words to all the songs.
Funny Story – One day a popular song came on over the Office Music System and a Co-Worker and I began to sing out loud. She complimented me on my singing voice to which I replied, “Thank you. My Mother says that I can’t sing.”
She then said, “Well my Mother told me that I’m tone deaf.”
LOL.
After having a particularly frustrating day, I decided that rather than listen to one of my Playlists, I would listen to the Mix that YouTube created. I must admit that YouTube’s Mix totally captured the way that I feel most days and also illustrated my eclectic taste in music. In addition, I am apparently always California Dreamin’! Check it out. It starts out a tad sad and so distracted, but it ends with Prince and Justin—Timberlake that is. Because no matter how bad things may seem; I love to dance!
So, play some music and sing as loud as you’d like; and if you’re not too tired after an exhausting Caregiver Day, Dance, Dance, Dance, Dance!
