True, true, true. I've experienced several of those casualties in just this my first year. Friends, family, siblings, co-workers, church groups, etc. Nothing or nobody is off-limits when it comes to caregiving.

I have had several casualties, most importantly lifelong friends I thought I could always count on. They disappeared.
Loosing the Friends that you thought would always be there is the hardest.
Yes, a gut-wrenching blow.
