I know someone in each category, including myself. Society/people want to look away from the caregiving crisis so many are in, thinking it can’t happen to them if they don’t see it.

Rosalyn Carter, Former 1st Lady of the United States, is quoted in saying, “There are only four kinds of people in this world: those who have been Caregivers; those who are currently Caregivers, those who will be Caregivers, and those who will need Caregivers." She was right!

I have had several casualties, most importantly lifelong friends I thought I could always count on. They disappeared.

True, true, true. I've experienced several of those casualties in just this my first year. Friends, family, siblings, co-workers, church groups, etc. Nothing or nobody is off-limits when it comes to caregiving.
